Update training for Designated Teachers
This is an opportunity for new and established Designated Teachers to receive the most up to date national guidance and hear about local developments to support them in the statutory role of Designated Teacher. We hold a termly training conference which covers current guidance, updated PEP documents and we also invite other useful speakers.
Objectives:
- To outline the statutory role of Designated Teacher
- To understand the role of Wokingham Virtual School
- To understand the duties and obligations for the Designated Teacher
- Find out what funding streams are available
- To be aware of the current statutory guidance and best practice to support the education of children in care
- To contribute to local development and best practice through networking with other Designated Teachers and Local Educational Professionals
- To raise issues across schools in localities
- To receive targeted update and training based on your (Designated Teachers) needs.
