Building Resilience in Young Minds

In the Virtual school we are all too aware of the struggles that some of our young people have; we know many who are on our roll have suffered significant abuse and trauma. To support you in schools with our Children in Care, Post-Looked After Children or Children who fall under our extension to role we would like to introduce you to Charlotte Hartley founder of Building Resilience in Young Minds (BRIYM).

‘At briym we are passionate about promoting and developing positive mental health in people and developing lifelong resilience to cope in an ever-changing world. We provide mental health support to organisations, schools, parents and children providing a range of services from private one-to-one sessions to corporate training workshops.’

If any of your children could benefit with additional support in building resilience and supporting mental health then we would ask that you speak to your child’s case worker if the child is in care or contact Ruth.Blyth@wokingham.gov.uk so that we can support the funding of Charlotte’s teams work.

We will require you to complete a short referral form and also an impact form following Charlotte’s teams involvement but we hope that schools will utilise this resource to support the young people in their care.

Charlotte will also be presenting a slot in the DSL meeting on 12th October 2023.
